Geraldine Macdonald is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Bristol. She has had a close involvement with Cochrane since the mid-1990s and has served as the Archie Cochrane Research Fellow at Green College, University of Oxford. Her particular research interests include critical thinking and decision-making in social work; the evaluation of social welfare interventions; cognitive-behavioural therapy, and child protection and ethics.
Geraldine has been the Co-ordinating Editor of the Cochrane Developmental, Psychosocial and Learning Problems Review group since its establishment in 1998.

Joanne is the Managing Editor of the Cochrane Developmental, Psychosocial and Learning Problems group. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the group, which has an editorial board of over 20 and an international membership of several hundred. Joanne works with our authors, guiding them through our editorial process, and providing them with the support and training needed to write Cochrane reviews. She also co-ordinates the work of our editors, statisticians and peer referees, who play a vital part in ensuring our reviews are of a high standard. Joanne joined CDPLP in October 2013. She holds an MPhil in Psychology and a PhD in Sociology and Social Policy, both from Queen's University Belfast.

Margaret works with our authors on all aspects of searching for studies, from developing a customised search strategy and running searches, to reporting the search methods used. She joined CDPLP in 2010 as a qualified librarian with 20 years' experience as a subject specialist in areas which included social work, education, sociology and midwifery.

Gemma updates information management systems and assists authors to set up accounts. She sources external referees to provide feedback on protocols/reviews/updates; ensures declarations of interests are completed, accurate and up to date; carries out reference checks; liaises with authors regarding dual authorship; updates social media and web pages for the group as well as general administrative tasks. Gemma joined the group in 2012. She graduated from Queen's Unviersity Belfast with a degree in Business Studies. She has gained administrative/clerical experience in private, public and charity organisations, as well as editorial experience with a charity journal.
