Our reviews target a range of medical, social, educational and socio-legal problems, viz.:
- developmental and psychosocial problems of childhood and adolescence; including juvenile delinquency;
- learning problems (including but not restricted to learning disabilities) across the lifespan; and
- personality disorders and adult offending.
We will also consider the effects of social and policy interventions, which impact on the development of children and adolescents (e.g., preschool day care) although these may not be specifically targeted at an identified problem.
We are also working on overviews of reviews and systematic reviews of multiple interventions, making use of indirect comparisons and network meta-analysis.
In addition to intervention reviews, we are interested in:
- Diagnostic Test Accuracy Reviews; and
- Prognosis Reviews.
There are potential overlaps in scope with the following groups: Cochrane Cystic Fibrosis and Genetic Disorders; Cochrane Depression, Anxiety and Neurosis; Cochrane Incontinence; Cochrane Infectious Diseases; Cochrane Injuries; Cochrane Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders; and Cochrane Neonatal.
The complete list of topics for the Cochrane Developmental, Psychosocial and Learning Problems Group can be downloaded here. Please note that the list of topics represent broad areas of interest rather than a list of prospective reviews. Potential authors who believe that a review may fit into the scope of the group are encouraged to discuss this with the editorial base.
